The Banquet Hall is known from the popular Norwegian TV programme on TV 2. With room for up to 140 guests, beautiful views of Randsfjorden and a warm, elegant atmosphere, it is a wonderful setting for your wedding dinner, speeches and dancing.

The Director's Residence offers historic charm, beautiful details and inviting reception rooms. Here, you can gather up to 100 guests in surroundings that give your wedding a personal and exclusive feel.

The Orangerie is a bright, lush greenhouse surrounded by the hotel's beautiful garden. With space for up to 32 guests, it is ideal for intimate weddings or a relaxed gathering the day before your big day.

Garden Wedding Ceremony

Our lush garden provides a romantic and natural setting for your wedding ceremony, with plenty of beautiful spots for wedding photographs and memorable moments with your guests.

We can arrange a wedding arch and chairs, and provide an indoor alternative if the weather does not cooperate.

After the ceremony, you can continue the celebration with an aperitif, mingling and your wedding dinner, all in one place.

At Thorbjørnrud, great food is at the heart of every celebration. We take pride in our food philosophy, where local ingredients, seasonal flavours and produce from our own kitchen garden take centre stage.

Our wedding menu consists of three courses, with the option to extend it to four or five courses for those who would like an even more elaborate dining experience.

We help you put together a menu that suits your wishes and invite you to a menu tasting before the wedding.

If you are dreaming of a beautiful wedding cake or a tempting selection of cakes, our talented pastry chef can also help you create something truly special.

From the first aperitif to the late-night snacks, we make sure your celebration is filled with wonderful flavours and lasting memories.

More Time Together

Why celebrate for just one day when you can turn your wedding into an entire weekend?

Many couples choose to gather their guests the day before the wedding for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. It gives family and friends a chance to get to know each other better, while allowing everyone to spend more time together.

Start the weekend with a pizza buffet, tapas, a barbecue or a lovely dinner in one of our event spaces.

If you would like to enjoy an activity together, we can arrange wine tastings, guided walks through our vineyard with more than 6,000 vines, or beer tastings.

After the wedding day, you can gather for a delicious breakfast or round off the weekend with a delightful Afternoon Tea in historic surroundings.

At Thorbjørnrud, you can create an entire wedding weekend filled with wonderful experiences and memories to last a lifetime.

Accommodation

When both the wedding couple and their guests can stay overnight at the hotel, it becomes easier to enjoy the celebration without having to think about the journey home.

Thorbjørnrud Hotel has 82 rooms, accommodating a total of 162 overnight guests. We offer several room types, including newly renovated rooms overlooking the garden or fjord, family rooms and accessible rooms.

For guests looking for something a little different, we also offer glamping in the garden, close to nature and Randsfjorden.

For the newlyweds, we can make the wedding night extra special with flowers and a little something to enjoy in your room.

The following morning, you can gather around the breakfast table and share memories from a wonderful celebration.
