Express Bus: Oslo Bus Terminal - Gardermoen - Jevnaker

Vy express operates evening and night services between Oslo, Oslo Airport Gardermoen and Jevnaker. The VY170 service stops at Jevnaker Bus Station on its route between Oslo and Hønefoss/Western Norway.

Jevnaker Bus Station is located a short distance from Thorbjørnrud Hotel.

Tickets can be purchased from Vy. Advance booking is recommended, and at some stops a pre-purchased ticket is required for the bus to stop.

Express Bus: Oslo Bus Terminal - Gardermoen -Hadeland Glassverk

Vy express VY66

During the summer season, Vy express VY66 operates directly between Oslo and Hadeland Glassverk in Jevnaker. Hadeland Glassverk is located close to Thorbjørnrud Hotel.

When does the bus operate in 2026?

• Saturdays and Sundays from 9 May through 31 May, except 17 May.

• Thursday to Sunday from 4 June through 20 September.

• Saturdays and Sundays from 26 September through 11 October.

Departure times and stops

The VY66 express bus departs from Oslo Bus Terminal at 10:15, with the return service departing from Hadeland Glassverk at 16:50 and Kistefos Museum at 17:07.

The bus travels via Filipstad Terminal, Lysaker Station and Sandvika Bus Terminal.

The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

How much does a ticket cost?

In 2026, tickets cost NOK 250 each way for adults and NOK 145 for children.

Shuttle bus between Hadeland Glassverk and Kistefos Museum

A shuttle bus operates between Hadeland Glassverk and Kistefos Museum in connection with the VY66 service, making it easy to visit both attractions.

The shuttle bus departs from Hadeland Glassverk at 14:15 and is included in the bus ticket.

Bus between Hønefoss and Jevnaker

There are also local bus services between Hønefoss and Jevnaker.

Innlandstrafikk route 113 operates between Hønefoss, Jevnaker and Toso via Eggemoen, with stops including Hadeland Glassverk and Jevnaker Bus Station.

Brakar route 221 operates between Hønefoss and Jevnaker via Haug.

This makes Hønefoss a useful transport hub for guests arriving by train or bus who wish to continue to Jevnaker by public transport.

Timetables vary between weekdays, weekends and holiday periods. Use Entur or the Brakar's  journey planners for current departure times.

By train

There is no passenger train service directly to Jevnaker.

If you are travelling by train, Hønefoss, Lunner and Roa are possible stations for onward travel to the hotel.

From Hønefoss, you can continue to Jevnaker by local bus or taxi. Lunner and Roa are located on the Gjøvik Line and are approximately 18–20 minutes by car from the hotel.
